A quickie to start the day. (Plus, I'm still stinging a bit from yesterday's total bust of a lightning storm that wiped out about 1200 words of typing in the blink of darkened monitor. Also, apparently my parents think that each and every post is too long by about half. So, mom and dad, I'm droppin' this shorty for you!)
So I'm riding my bike today. (Up to 4 laps round the circle now. And, seriously, I know there are some of you out there that thought my new health regimen would never last but lasted it has! I know ride longer, faster and with less of that heart-attack feeling at the end!) So while I'm riding, I keep passing this one guy that is walking in the opposite direction. I pass him once....twice...three times....
So as I keep passing this guy, I start to imagine a conversation with him. (I realize how sad and pathetic that may sound; however instead of seeing it that obvious way, try, if you will, to see it as incredibly creative and imaginative with a little, "Boy, that John!" thrown in for good measure. Try....a little harder... There! You've got it!) So, this is my imagined conversation:
Slow walkin' dude: "Wow! You really are riding fast!"
Me: "Yeah. Trying to stay fit."
SWD: "Are you training for something?"
SWD: "What's that?"
Me: "Life...." then over my shoulder as I'm zooming away... "I want to finish!"
Perfect line, right? Right?! Please, someone take this and use it. It's my gift to you for the day.... Cheers!
